Festivals (Starting from January Month)

1. January – Dhanurmasa
For 12 days in the month of January, Sri Lakshmi Ranganatha Swamy is adorned with the Dhanurmasa Maala.
This maala concludes on Makara Sankranti, which is celebrated as a very grand festival.

2. Ugadi
Ugadi is celebrated in a grand manner.

3. Shraavana Saturdays
All Saturdays in the month of Shraavana are celebrated grandly.

4. Sri Krishna Janmashtami
This festival is also celebrated grandly.

5. Ayudha Pooja
Ayudha Pooja is celebrated in a grand way.
During this festival, for 9 days, the deity is placed on the Pattakke (special platform).
On Vijaya Dashami, the ritual of cutting the Banni tree is performed, and on the same day a fair (jathre) is held.
The next day, the Utsava of the deity and the Ganapati Visarjana take place.

6. Vaikunta Ekadashi
This festival is also observed grandly.
